Walking with Nature

Thank you O Lord, for creating special creation around us. I thank you for the scented flowers with sweet, smelling fragrance. It looks very beautiful with it’s dark pink lines and outstanding bright pink petals. It feels very smooth. Smoother than butter. I thank you for showing us your love in nature. Thank you very much for the amazing creation and awesome nature.

This is the flower I have described and prayed about.

The Tree Of 40 Fruit

Sam Van Akan’s latest project has the beauty of art and the magic of science to create ‘The Tree of 40 fruit.’ This creation has 40 different species of peaches plums apricots cherries nectarines and even almonds. Sam’s creation is even more amazing due to the fact that some of the fruits are varieties that are very hard to come by.The tree itself is a surprising work of art, with crimson, pink, purple and  white blooms. Sam has placed 16 unique 40 fruit trees around the USA in museums, community centres and private art collections and visits each twice a year to prune. It takes a total of 5 years for each tree to develop and another 4 years for it to produce the 40 fruits. This tree can give you food for almost a year and quench your thirst. Sam really hopes his creation will teach people of all the different varieties of plums, apricots and peaches that were once available and maybe raise questions as to why there is such a small variety available in stores. We got to admit - This is one delicious piece of art .

Ruuxa & Raina

“ Cough,  Cough “. Being in hospital is never fun for humans nor animals. So it’s always nice to have a true friend to support you like Ruuxa has Raina . Ruuxa is the cheetah cub  befriended a Rhodesian Ridgeback  puppy who was there when Ruuxa had her surgery in San Diego Zoo.  Ruuxa had her surgery to correct a growth abnormality which was causing bending in the cub’s legs.  Raina waited very anxiously for the operation to finish. Then when the operation had finished Raina rushed to Ruuxa’s side. The 2 seriously different animals bonded and became extremely great playmates.

The story Of Heidi

I like autobiographies and since The life of Heidi is one I love it. The story was about a girl named Heidi and both her parents are dead, so her aunt took care of her. One day her aunt took her to her grandfather. Her grandfather didn’t seem to want her but, he had to. Then her grandfather started to like her. She grew up and she became friends with the goat boy named Peter. One day her aunt came and said “ I never should have let you go with that old man “. But Heidi didn’t want to leave. Her aunt said that a ill girl in Frankfurt ( Heidi’s aunts workplace )

 needs company. Heidi secretly made a promise to herself that one day she will visit her grandfather again.  The ill girl’s name was Clara. Sometimes the maids and servants used to say the house was haunted. So the boss ( also known as Clara’s dad ) came by the stairs himself and to his surprise it was Heidi ! She came the stairs in her pure white night gown and tried to unlock the locked door. Since she couldn't do it she sat down and began to sob. Mr Sesemann ( the boss ) came to her and he saw that she was sleeping. The next morning Heidi was sent home to her grandfather and because Clara could not resist saying good - bye she came with Heidi. When Peter saw them talking together he got jealous and threw Clara’ wheelchair ( she couldn’t walk because of her illness ) down the hill. When he went back  Heidi asked Peter if he had the wheelchair and he said the truth. So Peter and Heidi helped Clara to walk by herself and when her dad came to pick her and he was surprised to see his daughter, Clara walking. I like the part at the end when Heidi’s grandfather says “ I was once a old filthy man but, you have made me happy “. My favourite character is Heidi because she is beautiful and kind.

Mahathma  Gandhi

Mahathma Gandhi was a freedom fighter and he fighted for freedom. One of his saying are  “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” He said If there is love there is life. He was a justice champion like Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King. He was born on 2nd of October 1869 and he died on January 30th 1948. His children are Harilal, Devdas, Ramdas and Manilal Gandhi.

Te Tahawai Marae

“ Haere Mai “ called the tangata whenua of the marae yesterday. We took baby steps and at half way the girls stopped and let the boys go forward, took their shoes off and went inside. Then, when all the boys got inside the girls came up the stairs and took their shoes off and went inside. Then all the speakers and men sat on the chairs. The boys sat in front of the girls because it is maori tradition that men and boys get most respect. Then the tangata whenua said a speech and we the manuhiri answered back. That happened 2 times. Then we sang 2 songs after each speeches. We washed our hand to break off the tapu, it meant to be clean. After that we went into the whare kai and ate 1 biscuit and half a cup of water. Next up we splitted into 2 groups and did some activities. First we weaved paper, and then we did an maori action song. Last of all we did some patterns on the ancestors. Last but not least we sang one more song and the boys did the haka. Now we are all part of the marae.

Magic Pony - Snow Bandits Book Review 9

In this book a girl named Natty and her magic pony Ned set of on an adventure finding their neighbour Penolope’s missing pony. They find the thief and the pony. There is a reason why the thief did this and I will tell you. Because a Penolope accidently bumps into Smudger Evens bike and the front wheel accidently breaks. So he makes a plan to take Pebbles ( Penolope’s Pony ) and hold him ransom. So Penolope’s father puts a poster saying “ anyone who can find Pebbles and bring him back safely will get 5,000 dollars as a reward. He unleashes the plan but, Ned and Natty won’t let it succeed. So they destroy the plan and Natty gets the reward.  I recommend this for people who like ponies and adventure. This book would be nice if it had a bit more colour.My favourite character is Ned because he is a magic pony and he can shrink or come to the right size in a blink  of an eye, and whenever you touch his reins you get magic horse riding clothes. My least favourite characters are Smudger Evans and his gang, because they tried to steal Penolope’s pony all for money. My favourite part is when Smudger is covered in dung. I like it because it was super hillarious.

This book would be nice for 7 and over aged kids.
