The Big Splash
Splash! As I am walking down the wharf I see a brave young girl taking the dive. I think she is very brave to do that. As she jumps in the water some tiny blue crystals of water leap onto me. It is a huge jump like throwing 50 bowling balls in the water at the same time. I smell the salty water of the ocean and hear the cries of the hungry seagulls hoping to find something to eat. The brave youngster is wearing a safety jacket so I think she will be safe. She swims up to the surface to get some oxygen and dives back in. I see nets have been thrown on the wharf for the next time fishermen catch fish. I see that the girl is having a good time under the water. The brisk air is heavy and is trying to carry you away.
This is her first time jumping into the water. I think that her first jump was a brave jump because a youngster like that never has the mind to do scary things like dive in shallow water. Not even I have the mind to do that. So a “hooray” for today. She had a success in that jump for today.
